FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS ITALIAN
FROM ITALY'S CAMPANIA REGION
to tables in New York City and beyond
Our story begins in Salerno, Italy in the 1940's, when a young Louis Branchinelli (Gino) went from hometown to hometown selling his authentic Italian ices at local summer fairs.
In 1950, he made the journey to America and settled in Brooklyn, New York.
Gino became a pioneer of Italian immigrants, championing Italian comfort food, founding the original Gino's pizzeria on Bay Ridge/5th Avenue in Brooklyn, and introducing the Italian ice to the United States.
Today, Gino's Gusti Italiani, are manufacturers, importers, and distributors, bringing the best of pastas, baked goods, and of course- gelato and ices- to America. We've added a lot since our father founded the business, but proudly still the same, family owned and operated company Gino himself founded decades ago.
We're proud of our family history and the heritage
our father, Gino, gave us of passion, authenticity, and quality above all else.
